Cookie Policy

What we store on your device, why, and how to change your mind at any time.

Last updated: 18 September 2026

The short version

We do not set any analytics or advertising cookies unless you tell us we can. If you have not answered the banner, or you chose to reject, no analytics cookies are set and nothing about your visit is measured. You can change your answer at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website asks your browser to store. They are widely used to make sites work, to remember preferences, and to understand how a site is being used. Similar technologies such as local storage do the same job in a slightly different way, and this policy covers those too.

Cookies we use

Strictly necessary

These are required for the site to function and to respect the choice you make about the others. They cannot be switched off, and under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations they do not require your consent.

Analytics — only with your consent

These help us understand which pages people find useful, how visitors arrive, and where the site is confusing, so we can improve it. They are set by Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager. None of them are set unless you accept.

Google Tag Manager itself does not set cookies. It is the mechanism we use to load Google Analytics, and it only allows analytics to run once you have accepted.

Advertising

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent separately before any are set.

Changing or withdrawing your consent

Select Cookie settings in the footer of any page to bring the banner back and change your answer. Withdrawing consent stops analytics immediately. Cookies already set can be removed through your browser, as described below.

You can also control cookies directly in your browser, including blocking or deleting them. Every major browser provides these settings, usually under Privacy or Security. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of some websites from working, though this site will continue to function normally.

Sharing with Google

Where you accept analytics cookies, the information collected is processed by Google. Google may transfer that information outside the UK. For more detail, see Google’s own documentation on how it uses information from sites that use its services.
